Ancient Flowers

Having once bloomed on the ocean breast

But now mostly faded in color

As the years arrive from somewhere

And quietly go to ruin

They are already invisible

The girls collect the tops of waves with their fingertips

Sounding a hollow ring

むかしの花

かつて海の胸に咲いた

併し今では殆んど色あせて

歳月がどこからかやつて来て

静かに滅んでゆくときとおなじく

すでにそれは見えない

少女らは指先で波の穂をかきあつめる
